3D printing material - Rigur (PP-like)

Rigur - a PP-like material (polypropylene) developed by Startasys - is semi-rigid and hard and tough. Compared to rigid materials, it is twice as resistant to impact, three times as elongated and twice as flexible. It can be used for the production of models and prototypes for containers, packaging, toys, battery boxes, laboratory equipment, loudspeakers and automotive components. Particularly suitable for prototypes containing snap-fit parts or moving hinges (features that need to be bent).

Design specifications

● Light curing guarantees a good surface finish (there is a risk of support marks on the support surface which affect the smoothness)

● Very good representation of details

● Very high degree of precision

● Advantages for precision parts, thin-walled parts

● Layer thickness of 16 μm.

● Products with low requirements for strength

● Products with low requirements for temperature resistance

● Products requiring perfect detail expression

● Products that require more verification of appearance than of function

● Products that can be plated or painted
